We are looking for an enthusiastic dedicated and passionate Senior ABA Therapist for a School based position, which offers great training and support within a dedicated team. About Woodbury:
Woodbury School for Autism offers outstanding educational services for students with autism spectrum disorder aged 3-12 years of age. Our early intervention centre and primary school offer a high degree of structure, excellent staff to student ratio and the systematic use of behavioural teaching techniques to promote success and enjoyment in learning. Students are assigned to classrooms based on the level of support they need to be successful within their daily teaching activities. Goals related to education, self- management, communication, language and functional life skills are customised to meet each child’s needs. A collaborative approach between teaching staff, ABA/ behaviour specialists and speech and language pathology is utilised to maximise student’s progress.

Job Requirement:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in working with individuals with Autism, ideally in a school-based setting, specifically using behaviour analysis.
  • Willingness to continue training in principles and skills of ABA.
  • Demonstrate a happy, caring and positive personality
  • Experience in leading a small team and supporting junior therapists in their role
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be committed to personal and professional quality improvement
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work collaboratively in an integrated setting consisting of special educators, behaviour analysts, therapists, and parents.
  • Demonstrate good time management and organisation skills.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a small team
  • Current Working With Children Check and national police check

Preferred attributes:

  • Experience in working in special education
  • Knowledge and application of teaching aspects of ABA
